There are so many great offerings to expand your knowledge in and around Burlington, VT! Many of our numerous colleges and universities, as well as local recreation departments, offer excellent continuing education opportunities.

From cheesemaking to alternative medicine, photography to beginner Italian, there is something out there for everyone!

  • Burlington College has a wide range of adult and continuing education classes that are extremely affordable and fun!  Try your hand at beekeeping or Ayurvedic medicine!
  •  Access continuing education offers hundreds of programs each year ranging from simple woodworking to tax preparation. Most classes take place at CVU and vary from one night to several weeks.
  • Burlington and many of its surrounding towns have thriving parks and recreation departments.  They all offer many activities and workshops for those looking to expand their knowledge. Many incorporate opportunities for seniors such shopping and theater trips!
  •  For those looking to career advancement or to prepare for the next level of education, the University of Vermont offers certification and special interest courses.
  • If hands-on learning is what you enjoy, Yestermorrow offers incredible workshops led by architects, builders, and craftspeople.  They have course offerings in woodworking, construction, architectural design and more. There is also a focus on sustainable design!
